NuSalsa is comprised of David Hynes (NI) and Piret Annus (Estonia) who are based in Belfast and have been running classes and events in the North for many years.
David started dancing in NI and then moved to London where he studied under Gil and Shelley, taking his salsa to a new level and performing with the Pexava team at some of the biggest congresses in the UK. His focus is always about teaching the guys ‘how’ to lead, rather than learning lots of ‘moves’, so if you want to improve your all round dancing, pay a visit to their classes at the congress.
Piret is one of the most experienced dancers in the country. Learning to dance as a very young girl in Estonia, she has kept dancing her whole life in many different genres. She is an accomplished Salsa, Swing, Tango and Ballroom dancer as well as having studied dance at University and travelled the world to learn from different teachers.
As a teaching couple, they work hard to explain how the fundamentals are the most important part of dancing. If you get those right, then the more complicated fancy stuff becomes so much easier.
