Wyn Morris

In 1995 a friend took Wyn to a Salsa night where he spent the whole evening in total amazement as he watched people experiencing so much joy and fun as they danced the night away. Immediately developing a passion for salsa and determined to learn he took himself off to Bar Cuba where he started learning with Eli Galvani and Nigel Charlemagne (brother of Robert).

Captivated by the different styles of music and dances within Salsa Wyn took to learning different styles at every opportunity that came his way. He was introduced to Cuban Style with Ramiro Zapata and Zina, and the studied with Homero Gonzalez which included a dance course in Cuba. He has continued learning Cuban style with some the best Cuban dancers/teachers that have arrived in Europe including Rafael del Busto, Osbanis Tejeda & Anneta Kepka and Ariel Roberts. He learnt New York Style ‘cross body/On2’ attending workshops by prominent On2 dancers including Eddie Torres and Nelson Flores. Wyn also dances Columbian style learning from various teachers in London and attending a dance course in Cali, Columbia.

Continuing with his enthusiasm for learnjng new styles Wyn regularly dances Kizomba which took up in 2010.

Wyn has been dancing Rueda since 1996 and has built up a wealth of experience and knowledge learning from a variety of Cuban teachers in the UK, Europe and Cuba. He has been teaching with Mambo City since 2000 and over the years he has taught rueda at their classes, weekenders/festivals, and holidays.
